Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers

Common Questions

Why do I have to call to add certain add-ons?
Every business has different operational and compliance needs. Some add-ons require customization or additional configuration to ensure they are implemented properly for your organization and industry. Speaking with our team helps us understand your needs and ensure the platform is set up correctly while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Who is Teache’s payroll provider?
Teache partners with Everee to power payroll within the platform. Everee provides flexible payroll options that allow businesses to support different pay cycles when needed. Be aware that running payroll requires two weeks post-completion of client onboarding in Teache software.
Do Teache Software offer benefits? Can we add our own benefits provider?

Yes. Teache offers benefits administration as an add-on through our partner, Clasp.

Clasp provides a modern benefits experience that may include access to health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as additional offerings such as retirement options, compliance support, and employee benefit management tools. This allows businesses to offer competitive benefits without managing the complexity on their own.

If you are interested in offering benefits through Clasp, you can enroll during the onboarding process or enable benefits at any time in your settings.

At this time, Clasp serves as the broker of record for all benefits offered through the Teache platform. While Clasp may allow external brokers in certain situations, Teache requires that all benefits administered within the platform go through Clasp.

If you currently work with a benefits provider, you may still maintain your existing relationship outside of Teache. However, benefits cannot be directly integrated into the platform unless they are facilitated through Clasp.

Teache does not directly administer benefit plans and is not responsible for benefits compliance or plan management. All benefits-related services are provided through Clasp. If you need additional support, please contact us via email or through the chatbox if you have the HR Consultation add-on.

Does the benefits add-on include the actual cost of employee benefits?
No. The fees associated with the benefits add-on cover setting up and managing your benefits within the Teache platform. The actual cost of employee benefits, such as insurance premiums, is separate and will be quoted to you by Clasp based on the plans you choose. These premiums are paid directly to the insurance carriers, not to Teache. This approach gives you flexibility to select benefit options that align with your budget and business needs. It also ensures transparency between administrative costs and the cost of the benefits themselves.
What is an equipment lease? What type of equipment does Teache provide? Can I keep the equipment if I cancel my plan?

An equipment lease allows a business to use workplace equipment through a structured payment arrangement instead of purchasing the equipment upfront. Equipment leases are commonly used by businesses with storefront locations, warehouses, field workers, or service teams where employees may not have access to a dedicated computer during their workday.

Unlike many HR platforms that assume businesses already have devices available, Teache offers tablet devices that can be used to access the HR software directly. This allows workers to clock in and out, view information like their schedules for example, and access HR-related features even in environments where traditional computers are not available.

If your business cancels its plan, you may be given the option to keep the equipment depending on the lease terms at the time of cancellation. If you do not need equipment immediately but may need it later, you can request equipment through the platform or contact our team during business hours to add it to your plan.

Can I order both physical, digital, or both Compliance Posters?

Yes. Teache offers both physical and digital compliance posters. The first poster is complimentary. Additional posters may be purchased by the administrator.

If your business has a physical workplace where employees work onsite, labor law regulations may require that a physical poster be displayed in a visible location for employees. Digital posters may be used for remote or distributed workforces where permitted by law.

Do I still need compliance posters if I only have one employee?

Yes. Many federal and state labor laws require businesses to display workplace notices even if the business has only one employee. These notices inform workers of their rights and protections. Employees must be able to access these notices at any time as required by law.

What type of background checks does Teache Software provide? How do I add background checks as part of my package?

Background checks within the platform are powered by Checkr. Businesses can request background checks directly within the software without leaving the platform.

This allows administrators to manage worker records and background check results in one place. You do not need to give us a call to add this on. Background checks can be initiated through the Background Checks tab inside the platform.

HR Consultation

What should I know about Teache HR Consultation?
The HR Consultation add-on provides monthly HR guidance for administrators through scheduled meetings and the platform chatbox. Within the included monthly hours, our team can assist with HR topics such as recruiting support, onboarding guidance, training recommendations, basic performance management processes, and guidance only related to employee terminations.
Can workers contact Teache for HR support?

HR Consultation services are primarily intended for administrators. Workers may contact Teache via email for technical support related to the software or communication related to active client projects.

Workers cannot request HR guidance directly from Teache. If a worker has HR concerns unrelated to the software or an active project, Teache will refer them back to their employer or management team.

What if I or a worker reaches you after hours?

You may send messages through the platform chatbox at any time. If messages, email, and phone calls are received outside of business hours, our team will respond as soon as possible during the next available support period.

Can my workers and I contact Teache by phone or email?

Prospective clients are welcome to call us with questions as they explore our services. For current administrators, phone support is available for technical issues or billing questions, and email is reserved for in‑progress projects or additional technical needs. If a current client emails us with a billing question, we will kindly direct them to call instead, since billing involves confidential information that only certain team members are authorized to access. For HR consultation matters, administrators should use the platform chatbox or their scheduled consultation meetings so that every conversation is documented and easily tracked for auditing purposes.

Workers should contact Teache only for technical issues related to the platform, using email or phone, or for communication tied to active client projects, which should be handled through email only.

If I do not have the HR Consultation add-on, can I still receive support?

Yes. Administrators and workers may still receive support for technical issues through email or phone, and they can receive support for billing inquiries by phone only, even if they do not have the HR Consultation add‑on.

If your organization later decides it needs HR guidance, you may contact us during business hours to add the HR Consultation service to your plan.

Does Teache provide legal advice?

No. Teache is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Our team provides HR guidance based on best practices and general compliance considerations. If a situation requires legal advice, we may recommend that you consult with a licensed attorney.

Do I still need compliance posters if I only have one employee?

Yes. Many federal and state labor laws require businesses to display workplace notices even if the business has only one employee. These notices inform workers of their rights and protections. Employees must be able to access these notices at any time as required by law.
